Plantation shutters can be manufactured and mounted on doors with glass inset. The panel sits in front of the frame, allowing the louvers to open and close without interfering with the glass. There is no additional charge for the door unless a cut-out is needed for a lever handle. The charge and cut-out can be avoided if the homeowner removes the lever handle and replaces it with either a rounded or egg shaped knob.

No cut-out is needed for either type of knob. The frame sits behind the panel and does not interfere with the door knob.
