What to Expect from Your Plantation Shutters

• We provide a Limited Lifetime Warranty on the construction and workability of our wood plantation shutters. The warranty does not cover preventable damage or misuse of the product.
• All shutters have some imperfections because wood is a natural product. These imperfections should not be readily visible standing at a distance of four feet or greater in natural light.
• If you have a custom paint or stain, a sample of your paint and/or statin will be sent to you for approval. Prompt notification of your approval will ensure the manufacturing of your shutters in a timely matter.
• The installation crew will walk through your home with you to inspect your shutters and discuss maintenance. A feather duster or similar product is recommended to clean your shutters.
• Homeowners may need to make a few aesthetic touch-ups to their wall after installation.
• Touch-up paint and/or will be provided at the time of installation.
• Plantation shutters are a custom, handmade product. Due to this custom nature the manufacturing time begins when we receive the deposit and signed contract from the dealer. Please call if you have any questions regarding the status of your shutters.
• All deposits are non-refundable due to the custom nature of the product.
• Paint manufacturers may adjust their formulas and dye-lots can vary from order to order. All shutters in a single order will be the same, but future orders may vary slightly.

Warranty

Limited Lifetime Shutter Warranty

• Limited lifetime warranty for the original purchaser, non-transferable to other homeowners
• Warranty covers manufacturing or construction defects
• All products have a three foot visibility rule for imperfections
• Preventable damage*, Acts of God, misuse of the product, normal wear and tear of magnets and hinges and damage from pets, children or maids are not covered
• In home warranty repairs for the first year are free of charge.
• A service fee applies to all non warranty related repairs
• Paint and stain finishes are warrantied for two years from date of purchase
• Normal fading of finishes over time is not covered in this warranty

*Preventable damage is at the discretion of Shutters Incorporated.

Final Measurements

• Final measurements of all window openings will be taken by a Shutters Incorporated representative
• These are the measurements to be used for production of your custom plantation shutters*

*Shutters are a custom product, built to fit each individual window opening. Any changes made to framing or the window openings once final measurements have been taken may result in additional charges

Final measurements are scheduled Monday through Friday 7 am to 4pm.
